Rated 4 out of 5�by daveeedo Great shorts -- zipper not as great Overall these are well made, nice looking shorts that fit me well. I like the full elastic band around the entire waist, along with belt loops. The material is sturdy without being too stiff, and will probably get softer with washing. The only complaint I have is with the quality of the zipper: it's cheap, light-weight, and doesn't go all the way to the top. I'm pretty sure it will give out long before the rest of the shorts do. Maybe the zipper explains the reduced sale price. Still, I would recommend these, especialy for the sale price (just be careful with the zipper). August 7, 2015

Shorts were boxy and wide legged, but legs are too short. Not flattering at all. Construction and proportions are not good. July 19, 2015

I am not familiar with mens sizes? How do they run?

BEST ANSWER: I recently bought a size L for my father, thinking they were the same shorts I had bought for him last summer (which are now on clearance). The stated waist size for a size L is 36-38 inches. They were falling off my father, so my mother used a tape measure on the waist of the shorts. They measure 42 inches. My mother also states that the elastic is not as 'stretchy' as the previous version of these shorts; there is less give to the elastic.

I wear a size 38 waist in regular pants. I buy the size 38 in the elastic-waist shorts which fits very comfortably without stretch. This assures that the front pockets maintain their smooth shape.

They run by waist size and length you desire. My husband would not wear shorts before and now he lives in them. He wore suspenders before and now with the elastic he doesn't have to.
