Although these were too expensive to buy before Christmas, I bought some during the after Christmas sale. They are wonderful.

These caramel shortcake fingers look like the traditional Millionaire's Shortbread that are sold in England and Scotland. Good thing for my waistline that they are hard to find in the States. The chocolate and caramel are well done in these "fingers"; but normally the shortbread is made with regular white flour and butter....these are made with grainy wheat flour and who knows what...and that totally destroys the cookie. Were they trying to make this dessert healthy or just using cheaper flour? Better to have a small portion of something really good, than waste calories on half healthy stuff that makes you gag. Will not be ordering these again.

If My husband likes them you have a winner! He doesn't like desserts much and this was right up his alley.

The shortbread isn't shortbread! It is like a graham cracker pie crust. Very disappointing. If you don't know shortbread it could be fine. But I make a better batch of these Scottish treats myself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LAA1936 Better when heated
I read the reviews before buying and they were average at best. But i wanted to see how the ingredients disappointed. They are smaller that I imagined. So eating 2 or 3 seemed like serving. The best way for my taste was when I heated them enough so the caramel and chocolate melted and the crust was moist. Great with French pressed Christmas coffee!

The shortcake base is crumbly, but moist and buttery The caramel, though not 'creamy' as stated in the description, did have good flavor and texture. The chocolate flavor topping was just gross. Because cocoa is so far down the list of ingredients the taste of the oils and flour overpowers any cocoa flavor and just leaves a funky aftertaste. I'll be peeling this topping off.
If they ever come in just the shortcake and caramel I will order them again. Otherwise, I won't be wasting my money.
