Rated 3 out of 5�by Noeling Did not fit. Catalog suggested order down to lower size if wearing half size. I did and they did not fit, so had to send back for next size up which is a 9 for me. I have not as yet received the slippers. HURRY, the weather here is getting cold in San Antonio! Rating is as is because field required to move forward. The soles were flimsy and the footbed did not feel supportive. There must have been a change of manufacturers. My old pair that I was planning to retire felt better on my feet. The fit was a little snug. I will try some other brand for slippers, . November 8, 2014

What is the tread on these? Is it smooth or is there some traction so you don't easily slip on a wet tile floor?

BEST ANSWER: These have a fabric (felted wool) sole with small rubber dots to prevent slipping. The slippers are machine washable, so it doesn't hurt to get them wet; but the sole is primarily fabric, so it might absorb the water, and I wouldn't want to get them very wet while wearing them. I think Haflinger makes other styles of slippers similar to this one but with hard soles, which may be better suited to potentially wet surfaces -- and I highly recommend this brand, as it is well-made and very comfortable.

Hard to say for traction on wet tile. Tread is felt, but surface is covered with small dots of rubber like material for traction. The effectiveness of the rubber dots would be of reduced on wet smooth floors, but felt is often used on the bottoms of fishing boots for traction on wet rocks. If floor is very wet, the felt may absorb moisture.

The tread, both in the composition of the sole and the design of the sole is designed so there is some traction. I have never worn mine on wet tile so I can't speak to that specific circumstance but I think it would probably be ok if care was taken but probably not the best choice.

Yes, there is traction in the 40+ little rubberized daisies on the bottom of my size 12 shoes. I love these shoes! They are so comfortable and supportive. I wear them most all the time when I am home, summer and winter.

I have had these for about 1 year, wear them a lot. They are pretty smooth but I have not slipped. I have hard wood and tile floors. I feel comfortable with them on.

BEST ANSWER: I think the size runs a bit long. But they do stretch a bit all over with wear. You definitely need to wear socks with them because of the stretch. For me in Minnesota during the winter wearing socks is just fine. I may next time try a smaller size to see how they stretch and wear.

Slippers run true to size. However not always depending who makes them and whether you have a narrow
foot or wide. In general they are true to size. Buy early if exchange is needed.

Yes! I wear a 7 1/2 so ordered a 7 and they are still 'roomy'! However, I think a 6 might be too small.
