Rated 5 out of 5�by Andee90 Finally a boot that fits Compared to most other boots on the market, this one does have a wide calf. I live on a ranch so I get lots of exercise and have muscular calves. With these boots, I can actually stuff my pants in the tops and still get them zipped closed (with tapered leg or straight leg, haven't tried bootcut)! The width is true, the length is true. AND I can put my "athletic" arch support (from Good Feet) in the boots and they don't make my feet feel squished. The only downside to these boots is the fact that they wrinkle a bit at the ankle. However, because of the wider shaft and the fact that they are lined, the boot doesn't actually dig into your ankle. I would definitely recommend these boots for people with muscular calves and wide feet. I ordered 8.5 wide. February 27, 2016

The Heel is 1 1/2 inches
the distance from the top of the boot to the heel is 15 inches

BEST ANSWER: No seam on the front of the boot. I ordered a wide because I wear Birkenstocks most of the time so my feet have become a little wider than they used to be.

How wide is the calf in size 9?

BEST ANSWER: I have very big calves from walking/aerobics. Normally tall boots do not fit. I ordered size 8, these had plenty of room in the calf area, to even wear with socks or leggings. Highly recommend!

Check the size chart on the website. My boot's calf was way to wide and I'll have to take them to a leather shop to have it taken it. Measure carefully before you order.

I have Sz. 7 1/2 and the calf is 16 1/4 in. BUT there is an elastic insert so that the calf of the boot will stretch to 17 in.
