The new robe has a very luxurious feel, is very attractive, and is quite warm. I'm wearing it as I type this. Sometimes a vendor's new product is inferior to the old, but not in this case. So a few months ago we stayed at a condo with a pool, and this very robe was in the closet as a guest robe - I loved it enough that I had to order one for myself when I got home! Of course it's large on me (5'5" 130 lbs) but I don't care. It's great as a winter robe or after a shower. Heavy duty material and wonderful bright stripes. Not sure if I would dry it in the dryer, but even if it were to shrink a bit that would be OK. Anyway, I'm very happy with this purchase. October 10, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5�by Ldygol4 Very comfortable to wear My husband loved this warm and light weight robe. His previous robe was similar material but a lot heavier. The length is mid-calf (he is 5'8"). The outside is a velour but the inside is terry. I like that the terry is on the inside because sometimes it snags or the loops pull into strings. He said it feels good on, the velour is very soft. I haven't washed it yet so I can't comment on that. The colors are deep and rich. January 1, 2015

what is the size of the robes?

BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, the robe only comes in one size. Seems to be about a "medium". Wonderful material and colors are as shown in the catalog. I am 5ft. 11" and 240 lbs. and it fits me. I would typically order a 2xl in a shirt so
judge accordingly.

It is pretty much a one size fits all. My husband is 6 foot and usually wears a large. He LOVES it...wears it every morning :) Fits just right. It is a nice plush velour.

my husband has worn prior robe out and I'm trying to replace it. It was Norm Thompson and multicolor stripe, but the size inside says XL. WIll this fit???

BEST ANSWER: Maybe. I think it's a little smaller than the Norm Thompson one that I wore out. This one is velour and bulkier than the terry cloth one I had previously. I'm 6'3, 300lbs., w/ a 48-inch waist. I'd be happier w/ a bigger robe.

He's typically a XX, 6'1 and wears a size 50-52 suit jacket so he's really big in chest and arms. worried that they used to have the XL/King size and now don't that the one size wont fit

The OLD one says XL the new says ONE SIZE. I am XX and ONE SIZE barely fits, so you'll probably be OK

BEST ANSWER: Yes this si 100% cotton...terry inside so it it very absorbent after shower or bath, with a velour outer finish. Extremely well made and a favorite of my husband's.
