My husband plays tennis outside during the spring and fall. Often he needs long sleeves for warmth which these provide but they can be easily pushed up when he gets warmed up.. He needs a shirt that allows for a good bit of freedom of movement which is allowed for by the banded bottom . This in particular is a feature which is almost impossible to find elsewhere.
This is the second shirt like this that we have bought for this specific purpose. But it looks nice enough to wear for casual dining or entertainment.

Very poor sizing. My husband wears a medium and this was huge on him. Was not offered in a small but I think even that would have been big. Does anyone compare and check the sizing before the product is mailed to the buyer?

Although the weather has not been cool enough yet, I plan on making this one of my "staples."

Much lighter than expected. Color is very nice. The primary problem is that the sleeves are too short. They ride up and require constant adjusting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jvito Looks like the old favorite but different
After 20 plus years and countless airline flights, my original rugby windshirt is beginning to fray at the sleeves, so I was very happy to see it reintroduced, and ordered immediately.
The color is close. It is well crafted and it is 100% cotton like its predecessor. However, it is much lighter in weight than the original, which was like a canvas weight... the stitching, especially at the under arm is lighter than that of the original as well. The buttons are also smaller. The fact the original was manufactured in New Zealand and the new in China doesn't matter to me. I think the shirt is nice and will keep it, but it is not nearly as solidly built nor as versatile as the original. l would rather have paid more for the true version of my old favorite...please work on this. if you would like my old one in order to be able to match the original spec, I may be persuaded to donate it to "science" in the hope you can truly bring it back.
