I purchased these figuring that if I did not like them I would give them to my daughter. But when they arrived I tried them on and they were so comfortable and stylish I said to myself, well daughter not this time, these are mine. They are stylish, confortable and of great value

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jane5 Comfortable and attractive shoe!
I was worried about these shoes based on other reviews, but I have always wanted to try a pair of Riekers, and so I took the chance. I'm glad I did! The leather is soft and flexible, and the heel has some spring to it, so they should be comfortable all day long. I wear a ladies size 10, and some size 10s are a bit small on me. These 42s have some extra toe room, which feels great.
My heel seems fine, so that issue must have been corrected.

I almost didn't purchase these because of a bad review by someone who had a bad experience with this particular shoe. However, since I have not had problems with Riekers in the past -- not to mention they were 50% off -- I took a risk and ordered them anyway. I am very glad I did because they are very comfortable and I am not experiencing any of the faulty design referenced in the negative review. Maybe it was fixed? Who knows... But regardless I am very happy with them. Just make sure to use the separate Rieker sizing chart (not the standard European sizing chart). There is a sizing difference, but in general I found the Riekers sizing to be accurate. I went up a European size based on Riekers' chart, which I would not have done had it not had its own chart. Thanks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by kinshu design is faulty
I think the design of this shoe is faulty. I have several other RIEKER shoes, which fit well and I love them for the comfort. I buy European shoes, whenever I am there, since I am European. This shoe seems to have a problem in the relationship of heel to front foot. I compared the soles of the shoes with other RIEKER shoes, and the shape is different. I ordered two sizes to make sure it was not just one pair that causes pronation (turning towards the inside of the shoe) to my feet. I can only say this is a design fault, as far as I can --as a consumer-- can determine; nothing that Norm Thomson could forsee. I am returning both pairs, even though I very much hoped they would fit well. Kinshu
