Does the quilted two tone Jacket run small or large?

BEST ANSWER: I would definitely say that it runs small. I usually take an XL in jackets, but ordered a 1X in this jacket in case it ran small. It definitely did and the 1X was still too small, so I exchanged it for a 2X. This fit is perfect! I LOVE this jacket--perfect for Fall and Spring--and I get compliments on it practically every day. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Very smart looking, lightweight and comfortable!

I'm afraid the answer is "both". I normally wear a 10 or 12, but ordered a Large to allow room for a layer underneath. The jacket was a little loose but OK, but the sleeves were a full 3" too long! Turning the cuffs under would have meant losing the entire cute strap detail. Turning cuffs up looked odd because the lining material at the cuff is not quilted and didn't have a tailored look. So the answer is, smallish in the torso and maybe sleeve width, but too long in sleeve length. The photo on the model doesn't give any indication that sleeves are exceptionally long, so maybe it's the manufacturer's inability to produce a consistent sleeve length.

I think it is true to size. I purchased a large and it is plenty roomy but not too big. I am pleased with it.

the jacket seems sized right.....it should be a good fit for a petite size 6-8 person.....if petite sizes are not usually purchased...move to the next size in petites.....10-12.

does the back have a belt or detail?

BEST ANSWER: No, there's no belt in the back or any detail, and it's just cut straight. The only exception to that is a snap on each side at the bottom which, like the snaps on the sleeves, can be either snapped or not. I LOVE this jacket, it's a perfect "between seasons" weight and I get compliments on it all the time! Good luck with your decision!

No it doesn't, however there is a decorative button and small flap on the bottom of each side. I have gotten a lot of compliments on this jacket.

Does this jacket run TRUE TO SIZE. If I wear a size 14 in petite should I purchase a 16?

BEST ANSWER: I wear a size 18. I ordered an 18 petite in this jacket and the sizing was perfect. Although I am 5' 6", I usually find that sleeves are a bit long on me in the regular sizes. This petite was perfect in the sleeve length as well.

Is this jacket washable?

BEST ANSWER: This lovely jacket is not only washable, but also dries nicely in the dryer! I love it, and I get soooooo many compliments on it. It's a perfect weight for Fall and Spring, and I even wear it sometimes on milder days in the Winter. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have if you buy it!

The tag says machine wash cold, gentle cycle. I honestly have not washed it yet; haven't worn it places that it would get dirty. I will wash according to instructions, when I do wash it.

is it waterproof or resistant?

BEST ANSWER: I have not worn it in the rain, but it feel water resistant. It's cozy and the snaps at the sleeve allow you to trap more body heat if needed.
